Job Summary:
The ideal candidate is skilled at coordinating programs; organizing the detailed logistics of programs with vendors, congregants and colleagues; fostering relationships for a range of age groups and interests; partnering with lay leadership to coordinate programming and membership activities; maintaining our membership database and online calendar; drafting and disseminating communications in partnership with our Director of Communications.

The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal skills, is detail oriented, proactive, efficient, creative, collaborative and proficient in various technological programs.

Program Coordination and Support:
Responsible for all administration and logistics for the following types of synagogue programming:
Congregant-led groups and activities
Adult education
Opportunities offered by our clergy
Congregational social events and outings
Annual Back-to-Shul celebration
Programs sponsored by outside organizations
Specific responsibilities include: coordinating dates, arranging room set-ups, working with TIC Building Manager to ensure adequate custodial support before, during and after programs, ordering food and other supplies, liaising with outside organizations and vendors, supporting and managing volunteers, overseeing tech support and Zoom/Livestream links, developing communication materials and publicizing events.
Maintain synagogue calendar, both internal and external.
Help coordinate date selection, room availability, security, staffing, and more for programming.
Ensure expenditures are within budget.

Membership Services:
Identify trends in our membership’s demographics and interests.
Coordinate the welcoming and orientation activities for new members.
Ensure the ongoing accuracy of our membership database and reconcile against our communication software.
Produce and disseminate yahrzeit reminder letters and develop weekly yahrzeit lists for Shabbat announcements.
Maintain and disseminate b’nei mitzvah letters.
Draft and disseminate bereavement notices.
Partner with Director of Communications to maintain website, develop registrations for programs and events and disseminate communication materials.

Other Responsibilities:
Occasional evening and weekend commitments based on programs and events.
Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ShulCloud, Constant Contact and demonstrated mastery of social media and web maintenance a plus
Aptitude for working collaboratively with colleagues and lay leaders
Impeccable interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
Excellent organizational skills
Familiarity with Jewish customs and life-cycle events
